Our strength is interdisciplinary competence

Wind energy is an interdisciplinary working field. Fundamentally, physics plays an important role. Also many of the engineering disciplines, like mechanical, electrical and civil engineering, are involved. The solutions to the problems presented in the designing of wind turbines and the planning of wind farms can only be reached through the careful consideration of several of these disciplines.

In our team, members of the different engineering and science disciplines work closely together. This way, a broader understanding of the matter is achieved and synergy effects arise. As far as R&D in wind energy is concerned, we can offer competent advice and consultancy in many questions, from the design of a turbine concept, to FE-simulation of turbine components, to programming customer specific software for evaluation of data or load analyses.
